Davao Aguilas Bellmare FC looking to keep their AFC dreams alive as JPV Marikina stands in their way.

October 19, 2018

Davao Aguilas will be facing JPV Marikina this Sunday at Rizal Memorial Stadium as both teams will look to reach the finals to keep their hopes of qualifying for the AFC 2019.

Davao is having an impressive 10-game unbeaten run heading into the semis while JPV recently lost to Kaya in their latest fixture in the Copa Paulino Alcantara, while also losing their main shot-stopper, Gasic, to suspension.

“Football’s a team game, I don’t believe you should underestimate players. JPV losing a keeper doesn’t change anything. I’m sure Stallions felt a boost finding out Patrick Deyto was not playing against them. Look at what happened to the result. One thing is for sure, this won’t be an easy semi-final game.”, said Coach Leigh Manson.

He added, “We will prepare for Sunday’s semi-final with the same attention to detail and confidence we do in all our games. We looked at the 0-0 draw with Stallions, changed a few things and got a 4-0 win. Against JPV Marikina, we will work hard to keep the AFC dream alive.”

“We will give our 100% and we will fight and work hard until the last whistle, no matter what the circumstances may be.”, said Marco Casambre.

The Davao Aguilas are looking confident and the favorites to reach the finals but JPV will surely give a good fight to challenge the unbeaten streak.

The match is set to be played this Sunday, at Rizal Memorial Stadium. Kick-off time will be announced as it is yet to be confirmed whether it will be at 4pm or 6pm. See you there! Sukol Aguilas!
