National Team calls-up 6 Aguilas for training camp in Bahrain this September 2-11
August 30, 2018
Six Aguilas players have been called-up to represent the country in Bahrain this September 2-11 where the team will find themself in a training camp while playing 2 international friendly matches.
The following players are: Philip Younghusband, James Younghusband, Adam Tull, Tyler Matas, Patrick Deyto and Dylan De Bruycker. The boys will suit up in the national team colors as they strive to make the national team line-up for the tournament in Bangladesh this October in preparation for the Suzuki Cup (November) and Asian Cup (January). The country will be hosting 2 home matches in Panaad Park & Stadium this November for the Suzuki cup while the Asian Cup will be hosted by UAE, where the Philippines have qualified for the first time in its history, being the premier international tournament in Asia.
It is no surprise that the 6 players we will be sending with the National Team were all called-up because these players have been contributing to the club’s recent run of success by either scoring goals, saving goals and assisting goals. Their recent performances have proved to be vital for the club and the national team is now looking at these players because they see the potential.
The National team will be up against the likes of Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and either Brunei or Timor Leste, once the play-off has been played, in the Suzuki Cup while the bigger teams like South Korea, China and Kyrgyzstan are the countries we are grouped with for the Asian Cup. Let us support the national team as they try to make history in every tournament.
