Davao Aguilas visits Philippine Eagle Foundation

August 2, 2018

Last July 10, Tuesday, Davao Aguilas FC paid a visit to the Philippine Eagle Foundation, located in Malagos, Davao, where they learned everything about the national eagle-our team emblem and its current situation.

The team eagle is a national animal and something we Filipinos have to be proud about. It is the top predator in the tropical forest and considered to be one of the largest and powerful eagles in the world. Unfortunately, due to climate change, and habitat challenges, they are considered to be one of the rarest as well - being listed as critically endangered, with an estimate of around 400 pairs remaining.

The boys paid attention to the informative tour and eventually had a better understanding of why the club uses an eagle as their mascot and their team logo. Now the boys are eager to prove why these eagles are one of the top predators in the wild by showcasing their football skills on the pitch for people to see the hunger and strive for success and progress.

If you want to know more about these lovely eagles, you may visit the Philippine Eagle Foundation website at http://philippineeaglefoundation.org

You may also contribute to the cause by volunteering your time and effort by donating or adopting one of the raptors in the center. We hope that just like your Davao Aguilas, you too, can do something small for the greater good!
Sukol Aguilas!
