The Davao Aguilas Football Club (Hereinafter referred to as the DAFC) was born on the 26th of March 2017. It is one of the newest participating football club in the Philippines Football League (Hereinafter referred to as the PFL). The PFL is a professional football league that was launched by the Philippine Football Federation (Hereinafter referred to as the PFF) on the 6th of May 2017. The club is set to elevate the love for football in Mindanao, specifically Davao.
DAFC is composed of twenty-six Filipino professional football players, and four international professional footballers. Additionally, the club is coached by Marlon Maro, the former head coach of the Philippine national U-23 team. Behind him are Randolfo Paolo “Popoy” Clariño, assistant coach of the UP-Lady Maroons, and Melchor Anzures, a former national football player who hails from Davao.
